Sopore massacre: An elderly man walks through the Sopore market which was burnt down by government forces on January 6, 1993, in which 55 civilians were killed.
The photo was taken in 1998 when I visited her house. She had no other family members. She used to sit on the main door of her dilapidated house, waiting for her son’s return every day.
